6. “The Social Network”
It’s a great film. The story is compelling, the direction was great (David Fincher can do just about anything), the score was haunting (sidenote: Trent Reznor is aging gracefully) and the performances were not annoying. The rowing scene was the best looking sequence of 2010. I hope everything in the film is true. If so it makes me like Zuckerberg a...
Let them cash in
5. “Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties” (2006)
I enjoyed this Saturday daytime TV viewing of this kids flick. The story is awful, the jokes are thin, the performances are slapstick and a bunch of actors and comics I enjoy made a lot of money. Good for them. I enjoyed Bill Murray as the voice of “Garfield”. Really. He sounded happy and smug, just like Garfield should. I...
How is this a comedy?
4. “The Kids Are All Right” (2010)
Amazing writing and excellent acting. It deserves any and all accolades it receives. It’s a film that depends on skill and better performances than consistent lighting or quick cuts. It’s like a really, really good play that couldn’t be performed on stage. It’s nominated for Best Comedy for the Golden Globes. I have no idea why. I...
Stop Raping!
3. “Diary of a Lost Girl” (1929)
Hey males in 1929, maybe if you stopped raping women who pass out less will lead a life of sin? Maybe. I’m not guaranteeing anything in the future, but, well, you’re all dead and dumb and we’re not raping as much so I think things are a little better.
I love Louise Brooks films. No joke. They’re great. She’s great. See...
Oh Adam!
2. “The Vicious Kind” (2009)
I like to think this is part 1, “Step Brothers” is part 2, “Party Down” is 3 and “Parks and Rec” is 4.
See this if you like Adam Scott and beards.
Better than Wayne
1. “True Grit” (2010)
The original is bad. Really. I watched it last week. This one is good. You can smell Rooster. See it.

Trying not to
I’m going to get back to blogging on a consistent basis, if only to get my ass in gear. I hated that saying. I still do. Get your ass in gear. It doesn’t make much sense.
The past four hours have been spent sending emails to the press about the 12/27 YMTE Live! show and film premiers. I’ll post a video about it soon.
Come. Please.
